My little bro!

***BRANDON PATRICK***

Brandon has been living with us for five years now! He is the cutest boy I know!
He loves to ride horses, and bulls. He plays Football, Basketball, and Baseball. He loves being outside. He raises pigs and helps around our farm. He is a Handful at times, but which little boy isnt. Brandon is a growing boy and I am so excited to be part of his life. Brandon has tought me how to have patients and love life because not everything nor everyone sticks around in life. I love my litte bro like more then anything. I can't wait to see what life throws Brandon's way.

My dream

Once upon a time there was a little cowgirl who had no worries in the world. She dressed to impress everyday and always wanted to grow up just like her daddy. She began dreaming at a young age of what her life would be like in the future.
"A log house full of little munchkins running around with her Cowboy always by her side. Living on a ranch in the middle of no where Montana seemed to be just the perfect place for her. Cattle everywhere, waking up at the crack of dawn, going to bed way past dark, the little ones running wild and free, What more could you ask for?"
Everyone has a dream and its their very own dream, but this little girl's dream was stolen. Stolen right out from underneath her poor little heart. As the years progressed and her heart was sadding the young girl figured out just what to do.
"If everyone is going to still my dream then i will just have to come up with a new one." Thinking long and hard of a new special dream, a thought came around and her heart became galden.
"A log house full of little munchkins running around with her Cowboy always by her side. Living on a ranch in the middle of ???? seemed to be just the perfect place for her. Cattle everywhere, waking up at the crack of dawn, going to bed way past dark, the little ones running wild and free, What more could you ask for?"
Not telling anybody where she wanted to move, the young little lady set out for the door. One thing left on her mind to do "go try and find a cowboy to stay by her side."
Good bye old dream hello new! See you all in ten years with my new cowboy here!

What now!?!

Hey Everyone. If you haven't heard I am home and done with fire season. this job was a great experience but was not for me right now. It was way hard being away from my family and friends but i know i have made lots of friends from this job. It was worth the time i took but It is time for me to be done.
Right now i am looking for a job closer to home. I am taring ditches and helping my dad till i can find a job. The summer has came to an end and real life has started. I wish i would have went to college! wow never thought i would say that! :)

I went and say Jessie and Luke last week and I had a blast. Of course I went at the perfect time as Jessica was moving rooms but what better way to spend time with her. And her new roomie Lindsey seems really cool. Reminds me a lot of Jessie herself. Good luck Jess. And Lukey poo wasn't as much funn since all he wanted to do was homework. What kind of boy would want to do that lol. It was good to see him though. As i set there with Luke and Jess I thought what the heck was I thinking. I should have gone to college! and then i remembered why I didn't. I couldn't do the work. MY mistake through high school was take the easy way out. Yeah i passed my classes but I couldn't tell you what I learned besides oh yeah Sally's new boyfriend is billy or Yeah I am getting my hair done for prom at five. I was always the social type and that totally hurts when you graduate high school. I couldn't tell you what i learned but I know for sure if i could re do high school I would! At least some of the classes. So my conclusion now is I could go live in the Dorms if somebody could do my Homework HAHAHA. Well I have thought about it and maybe I do need to go to college but right now I will settle for a job and maybe next fall I will start. I do miss my friends that is for sure but I know they are doing a great thing and I love them very much.
Well its back to work Love you all!

GUN BARREL

Hey Everyone!
Wyoming is SO BEAUTIFUL! I have been here a week so far and it has been pretty good! I am getting a little homesick but its life! The fire has grown almost 5,000 or so acres a night but the Last couple nights it has stayed the same. The firefighters are not fighting the fire because of all the rocks and stuff so they are watching it. The fire has had helicopters fly right over our heads. And we can actually see the fire from where camp is.
The best part was the ride over here. It took us a long time but we went through Yellowstone Park and got to see a 7 point elk. When we got out of the park we could see our fire. It was night time so it looked like a bung of house lights in little cottage in the mountains. We stayed the night at a REALLY nice hotel and headed to camp the next day. We are pulling 12 to 13 hours a day which is way better than last time.
I don’t get cell phone service where we are but I have access to the computer. It storms here at night so I can only get on sometimes. I am headed off to breakfast but PLEASE keep praying for all of us and THANK YOU for the prayers and emails that have been received. Have a great day! Love you and miss you all.

Love, Kyra

Wyoming

Kyra left Saturday for Wyoming. She will be gone for over a month, probably til the middle of September. Please pray for her. She doesn't have cell phone service where she is or internet. But when they get a chance to drive out, she will and check her messages. So please email her and let her know you are praying. kpatrick22@live.com

If you go to www.nifc.gov and click on fire info and then map, she is working the kitchen crew for #24 Gunbarrel fire. Then if you go to http://www.nifc.gov/nicc/sitreprt.pdf go to page 4 and she is in the Rocky Mountain Area and read about the Gunbarrel fire.

Thank you!
Her momma misses her!

FINALLY!!!!

This is Kyra's mom and she has asked me to let you all know she was finally called out on a fire. She left Friday night about 12:30 a.m. and they are in Inchelium, Washington. I haven't heard anymore from her except that they made it and had 4 hours after they arrived to get set up and rested before starting to work. ugh!
They drove all night, Karen drove her pickup and Kyra drove the other kids car while he slept, from Fruitland to Grangeville and then she was able to sleep from Grangeville to Spokane.

I will keep you posted as she lets me know.
She would love to receive emails from you as she can check them, but she cannot update the blog. If you go to www.nifc.gov and maps, you can see quite a mess.
