Oh so EXCITED

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he will with me."
~Revelations 3:20~

So lately I have been realizing that my walk with God has taken a different path and put God on the back burner. Well today I met with my pastor and tried to figure out a way to help my walk with God get back on path and help put God first. As of today I will start reading through the book of John and I start a 8 week Bible study one on one with my Pastor. I am so excited to see where God takes me. I need all the prayer i can get because I know that this will be a strugle for me! I get bored of the same things so I know that I have a battle ahead of me but i also know i can get through this because I have God and my family and friends on my side. I want to live for God I just havent figured out how yet. But I pray that I learn fast. I have been walking up at about 4 every morning and I pray till I fall asleep. I figure that is a way God is telling me I need to trust him more. So as of today December 22, 2008 I am trying hard to live my life for God. I know I will have struggles and I know I will have troubles but I know with God on my side I can Do anything!
My first week will help me figure out WHAT HAPPENED TO ME? This study is very basic and that is where i need to start. I cant wait to see where life takes me and I cant wait to have a AWESOME realtionship with GOD. Just keep praying for me PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! :D

Thanks and God Bless you all,
Kyra L. Patrick

P.S. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL

***~My Best Budds~***

Samantha Pemberton, Jessica Ryan, Jessi Berline, and Kyra Patrick

My Friends are the best. We all are so different, but we all fit together and help equal eachother out.

I suprised Jessica at the airport before she left to Argentina

The end of my freshmen year I was ready to give up school. I felt that everyone was stuck on themselfs and I hated everyone. That summer we then moved to Mt. View Naz. where Jessica's dad was the pastor. I never got to know her till the end of the summer when we went to go load buses for Lagoon. She then informed me that she was going to Greenleaf for school. I was a little nervous at first but I knew I had to try and make it work. I was very quite on the trip, but I got to know Jessica a lot more. First week came around and we asked to be roomed together. Ever since then Jessica and I have been great budds. We stuck together through everything. We had our fights and our fun times that brought us closer together. Our Junior year Jessica became Vice Prez of our class and I was the Prez. The stress of that made times hell but we would yell at eachother and then be okay. The stress was soooo bad that we decided to DO IT AGAIN our senior year. Senior trip on the line that year made it stressful But our friendship is still strong. I love Jessica and I do Thank God for her. Me and my mom always say God sent jessica to me. He knew I needed a friend like her. I love you jess!!!

Samantha and I on our cruise

Our Sophmore year we started hanging out with Samantha Pemberton alot more! Sam and I were friends back in the gradeschool days but as we grew up, we grew apart. Our friendship reconnected and grew closer and closer. Sam is a very sarcastic type and brings us laughter all the time. Sam's house saved us a lot of tummy aches. We always went and had lunch there. :) Sam has been a great friend. I actually got a hug from her this past weekend! Sam was always there when Jessica and I needed help at a fundraiser or something. I love Sam very dearly and Glad God Brought her to me! :)

Jessi and I on our way to Seattle

Our senior year, The three of us started haning out more with Jessi Berlin. Jessi is more of the Style type. She is a very quite type but we could always get her to let loose. Jessi always suprised me with words and actions. You would never have thought her to be that type of person hehe. Jessi brought great joy to the softball team my senior year. She wasn't to sure she wanted to do it but of course she was a good sport and it was great. I love Jessi and her smile has brought great joy. God made her a great person.

These three girls have been a blessing to my life. When I was in sports, they came and supported me. When they had Plays, I would go and cheer them on. Senior year brought us Together and senior year is a memory we will never forget,

As they all went off to college we see less of eachother and we talk alot less. This has been a hard thing I have to deal with everyday but I do thank God for the Friendship we built. I Pray that this Friendship will never go away. Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the cornor and we will get to reunit again. I cant wait for that. I love you Girls and you are always in My Prayers!

My Best Budds!!!

My dream

Once upon a time there was a little cowgirl who had no worries in the world. She dressed to impress everyday and always wanted to grow up just like her daddy. She began dreaming at a young age of what her life would be like in the future.
"A log house full of little munchkins running around with her Cowboy always by her side. Living on a ranch in the middle of no where Montana seemed to be just the perfect place for her. Cattle everywhere, waking up at the crack of dawn, going to bed way past dark, the little ones running wild and free, What more could you ask for?"
Everyone has a dream and its their very own dream, but this little girl's dream was stolen. Stolen right out from underneath her poor little heart. As the years progressed and her heart was sadding the young girl figured out just what to do.
"If everyone is going to still my dream then i will just have to come up with a new one." Thinking long and hard of a new special dream, a thought came around and her heart became galden.
"A log house full of little munchkins running around with her Cowboy always by her side. Living on a ranch in the middle of ???? seemed to be just the perfect place for her. Cattle everywhere, waking up at the crack of dawn, going to bed way past dark, the little ones running wild and free, What more could you ask for?"
Not telling anybody where she wanted to move, the young little lady set out for the door. One thing left on her mind to do "go try and find a cowboy to stay by her side."
Good bye old dream hello new! See you all in ten years with my new cowboy here!

What now!?!

Hey Everyone. If you haven't heard I am home and done with fire season. this job was a great experience but was not for me right now. It was way hard being away from my family and friends but i know i have made lots of friends from this job. It was worth the time i took but It is time for me to be done.
Right now i am looking for a job closer to home. I am taring ditches and helping my dad till i can find a job. The summer has came to an end and real life has started. I wish i would have went to college! wow never thought i would say that! :)

I went and say Jessie and Luke last week and I had a blast. Of course I went at the perfect time as Jessica was moving rooms but what better way to spend time with her. And her new roomie Lindsey seems really cool. Reminds me a lot of Jessie herself. Good luck Jess. And Lukey poo wasn't as much funn since all he wanted to do was homework. What kind of boy would want to do that lol. It was good to see him though. As i set there with Luke and Jess I thought what the heck was I thinking. I should have gone to college! and then i remembered why I didn't. I couldn't do the work. MY mistake through high school was take the easy way out. Yeah i passed my classes but I couldn't tell you what I learned besides oh yeah Sally's new boyfriend is billy or Yeah I am getting my hair done for prom at five. I was always the social type and that totally hurts when you graduate high school. I couldn't tell you what i learned but I know for sure if i could re do high school I would! At least some of the classes. So my conclusion now is I could go live in the Dorms if somebody could do my Homework HAHAHA. Well I have thought about it and maybe I do need to go to college but right now I will settle for a job and maybe next fall I will start. I do miss my friends that is for sure but I know they are doing a great thing and I love them very much.
Well its back to work Love you all!

GUN BARREL

Hey Everyone!
Wyoming is SO BEAUTIFUL! I have been here a week so far and it has been pretty good! I am getting a little homesick but its life! The fire has grown almost 5,000 or so acres a night but the Last couple nights it has stayed the same. The firefighters are not fighting the fire because of all the rocks and stuff so they are watching it. The fire has had helicopters fly right over our heads. And we can actually see the fire from where camp is.
The best part was the ride over here. It took us a long time but we went through Yellowstone Park and got to see a 7 point elk. When we got out of the park we could see our fire. It was night time so it looked like a bung of house lights in little cottage in the mountains. We stayed the night at a REALLY nice hotel and headed to camp the next day. We are pulling 12 to 13 hours a day which is way better than last time.
I don’t get cell phone service where we are but I have access to the computer. It storms here at night so I can only get on sometimes. I am headed off to breakfast but PLEASE keep praying for all of us and THANK YOU for the prayers and emails that have been received. Have a great day! Love you and miss you all.

Love, Kyra

Wyoming

Kyra left Saturday for Wyoming. She will be gone for over a month, probably til the middle of September. Please pray for her. She doesn't have cell phone service where she is or internet. But when they get a chance to drive out, she will and check her messages. So please email her and let her know you are praying. kpatrick22@live.com

If you go to www.nifc.gov and click on fire info and then map, she is working the kitchen crew for #24 Gunbarrel fire. Then if you go to http://www.nifc.gov/nicc/sitreprt.pdf go to page 4 and she is in the Rocky Mountain Area and read about the Gunbarrel fire.

Thank you!
Her momma misses her!

FINALLY!!!!

This is Kyra's mom and she has asked me to let you all know she was finally called out on a fire. She left Friday night about 12:30 a.m. and they are in Inchelium, Washington. I haven't heard anymore from her except that they made it and had 4 hours after they arrived to get set up and rested before starting to work. ugh!
They drove all night, Karen drove her pickup and Kyra drove the other kids car while he slept, from Fruitland to Grangeville and then she was able to sleep from Grangeville to Spokane.

I will keep you posted as she lets me know.
She would love to receive emails from you as she can check them, but she cannot update the blog. If you go to www.nifc.gov and maps, you can see quite a mess.

Not yet

Hey everyone~
Just another day waiting for a call. Today we woke up early and loaded our pigs up and took them into weigh. Thank goodness we have two pigs that will for sure make them and two that are on the low side but there is still hope. Fair is in a couple of weeks and its starting to get stressful. Books have to be done, all our equitment has to be ready and the pigs need to be ready and cleaned. Thank goodness for DADS! No matter what, MY dad helps me get through fair. he is always there to help me and get the pigs ready. I love my dad! :)
Another day of watering was ahead of me after all the pigs got back to the pen. The irrigating was fine except we had way to much water. Tonight we set 100 tubes which is 40 more then what we usually do. that is a plus cuz the irrigating days are shortened. So here i am watching the PERFECT MAN with my family just waiting to hear the phone ring! Maybe my dream will come true tonight! I need to get back to the movie! love ya all!

Now!

Today is just one day closer to setting out for fires!
This Summer I got an AWESOME Oppertunity to go cook for wildfires this year. So far our kitchen has not been called out but hopefuly this week we can leave.
Last Thursday I got a call saying pack up and be ready in three hours. SO i hurry home, pack and wait for the call. Well guess what? I am STILL WAITING for the call!!! :(
It is so hard to be packed and ready but still have to live everyday with the stuff you pack.
I ask that you please pray for me as we are waiting. I need the job and I know my kitchen crew does too. I will try my hardest and blog daily but i do know it gets hectick up there! YOu can get updated at http://www.nifc.gov/ and got to Fire information on the left side then go to Incident Management Situation Report. its a pretty cool site. Please keep me in your prayers! I love you all
~Kyra~
